The Limburg region of Belgium is home to the Martens Breweryrecognized as the country's second-largest brewery after AB-Inbev. Founded in Bocholt at 1758the family business was established by Jean Martens and is now in its eighth generation. The brothers Fons and Jan Martens led the brasserie until 2022, when Jan Martens bought Fons' shares, taking his stake to 85%the 15% belonging to the Far Eastern Group investment group which enables them to have assets of more than 38 000 000€.
