Founded in 1903 by Louis Vandamme, the company Oliefabriek Vandamme is rooted in a long tradition of milling. Originally from Zulte and located in the flax-rich Lys region, the company has adapted its production to the gradual disappearance of flax growing in Flanders. It turned to other oilseeds and specializes in germ processing, in particular. corna by-product of the starch industry.

In 1980, under the management of Gilbert Vandamme, a new production plant was commissioned in Deinze, along the canalised Lys. This was later complemented by a refining and packaging facility. The company has three divisions: Oliefabriek Vandamme specializes in processing corn germs to obtain crude oil and oilcake. Repro handles the refining and packaging of vegetable oils. Finally, Veda Trading manages the commercial aspects, including the purchase, sale and trading of bulk oils. The family structure is headed by holding Kollergang, whose name refers to the equipment used to press corn in mills.

The company is on a growth trend, with a net worth of valued at 164 million euros, ranking TOP 160 among Belgium's richest.
